Mr. Jose Martinez has been the General Manager of Valley County Water District since September 2016 and has over 25 years of experience in working with public water agencies.

During his career, Jose has had the privilege of learning from industry leaders and working at diverse organizations that take pride in delivering safe and reliable water supplies while providing excellent customer service.

Mr. Martinez received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Biology and Master of Public Administration from the University of La Verne and obtained a Certificate in Leadership and Management from the University of Notre Dame.

Jose also holds a State of California Grade 3 Operator Certification in Distribution and Grade 2 in Treatment and a Grade 2 Water Use Efficiency Practitioner from CA/NV AWWA.
