Mr. Jim Prior started his long career in the water industry on January 3, 1978, with San Gabriel Valley Water Company. He worked for over 8 years, first as a gardener and then as meter reader, pump operator and service worker. From there he spent the next 16 years at California-American Water Company as a pipefitter, heavy equipment operator, foreman, and then supervisor.

In April of 2002 he was hired at San Gabriel County Water District as a Supervisor.

He served as the Assistant General Manager at San Gabriel County Water District and became General Manager on January 1, 2016.
