Mr. David De Jesus is the President and C.E.O. of Covina Irrigating Company and is responsible for the day to day operations of the 140 year-old company. Their primary source of supply can be found locally in the San Gabriel Mountain watershed backed by groundwater wells in the Main San Gabriel Basin.

Mr. De Jesus holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Management and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Azusa Pacific University. He has also earned degrees in Water Treatment Technology and Criminal Law. He holds the highest Water Treatment and Water Distribution Certification level issued by the California Department of Drinking Water.

He also provided instruction for several years to hundreds of students as an Adjunct Professor at Citrus College specializing in water distribution and system design.

Mr. De Jesus serves on numerous water boards in varying capacities, most notably, re-elected for his 7th term on the board of directors for Three Valleys Municipal Water District.

For the past 20 years Mr. De Jesus has served on the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California charged with protecting the import water supply from both the State Water Project in Northern California and the Colorado River Aqueduct System for nearly 19 Million Southern Californians who depend on it.

As a Director Mr. De Jesus serves as a Vice Chairman of the Board. He is also former Governor Jerry Brown’s appointee to the Colorado River Board serving as a voting alternate Director.
